A continuous rotation drill that emphasizes quick tape-to-tape passing, moving to the open ice, and creating shooting lanes from the rotation.

Setup

  • Set players in a triangle or box pattern; use a shooter/goal in the rotation to finish reps.
  • Work with quick passes and encourage movement after the pass.

Instructions

  1. Player A passes to B, then rotates to support C. Player B passes to C, then rotates, creating a continuous flow.
  2. Encourage quick first-touch passes and immediate movement to create space for the next receive.
  3. Finish rotations with a shot on goal or a drive into the net-front area.
Coaching Points
  • Pass to where the teammate will be, not where they are standing.
  • Maintain puck control and keep heads up to see the next progression.
  • Encourage communication and quick support angles.
